I did some research and found out it's not illegal. So what do you guys think of jailbreaking tech. Right or wrong? You know a sort of fighting the man sorta deal. Apple being the man.

The original term comes from some old tech. It use to mean only jailbreaking that one pice of tech and now means you remove the restriction of the developers from it. It is like modding but more legal.

Well you can restore your device to factory settings and remove the jailbreak. I personally like it. I did it today and I love all the stuff I can already do. If you plan to jailbreak you should use GreenPois0n. I think my iPod started going faster as soon as I jailbroke it.

I did that to my brothers Wii (although that is alot more complicated), My ipod touch and my psp. I knew it was not illegal a long time ago, however it voids your warranty and if they should obtain your device (say you sent it back for to be repaired, or some reason or another) they will confiscate it. But sure that doesn't bother most people (as few are stupid enough to do that). Especially if it's warranty is already run out! Anyhow, Android is better for this reason, as the factory settings for it are already open source and it is not restricted in anyway except for what it's capacity is. (say trying to run windows or something on it) So it is sort of already jailbroken when you get it.
